Perfect nook on our deck

This oven fits a perfect nook on our wooden deck. Primarily a pizza maker who has never laid a brick before built the brick oven, for not only pizzas! I plan to roast big turkeys and other roasts and bake French breads. I like the smell of burning wood around the backyard and the oven brought perfect characteristics and a main feature to it and to the whole area.

Had a test burn. Cooked scones. Worked well.

After Richard built his oven he had a first test burn in it. At the same time he also baked scones. Everything worked well from the first try. He enjoyed sourcing the material, partly also reused for building his oven. The oven is built in Australia.

Oven completed and Bill’s first ever pizza

Bill completed the oven and married Liz and now they expect a new arrival to theirs young family. The first ever pizza they cooked together came out this oven. The brick pizza oven on these two pictures was built in New Providence, NJ, US.

Patio with oven on smaller surface

Oven and patio both of modest smaller footprint space. The oven was downsized and built smaller than the size of the original oven as is in the plans. Paul made extra surface by cutting off a width from the masonry stairs and placed the oven right into the newly created room next to stairs.

Members of one Hunting Camp Group

John with his friends and members of theirs hunting camp group club, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, they built themselves this brick oven. They have all enjoyed the project. Now during hunt weeks season in the wilderness they use the oven for proper culinary cooking and also baking for all club members and their families!

Oven built higher off the ground in deck level

Charlie from West Virginia built his oven much higher up, 42 inches, off the ground as to reach the level of the wood floor of the deck at the back of the house.

MTo built from local stone and with copper roof

I decided to make the outside of this oven using local stone from our close-by stone yard quarry. And for the roof in its entirety I used copper sheets and copper nails.
