Oven roof finished. Nicely designed over all.

Nicely designed, over all it is one beautiful oven. Gary from Hamilton, New Jersey, recently completed their oven with its roof. And then, just one week after they had completed it, the Hurricane Sandy come through their location when it took down a tree that was closest to this oven and the house. Luckily it fell down in the opposite way.

RENE’S OVEN with MOSAIC. All under roof.

Rene’s project in Seattle, Washington. U.S.A. He built this fabulous oven with mosaic within bricks in walls and he also roofed the whole area. Now he can use his oven and the entertaining area whole year round. No mater whether it is raining or snowing, the roof protects / covers the whole outdoor area behind their house. Rene has never held a brick prior this building project. Video on how to rotate pizza on hot firebricks for 2 minutes was created as well.

Foundations had to be altered

Rado, I have taken more pics from our firing last Sunday, all went well, just need to get used to temperatures and timings etc. With the images I have also written a short story of our bread / pizza oven, which you may or may not want to include. Foundations had to be altered to follow the elevated ground behind the oven, it may be of interest to some people. Here it is –

True craftsman is into building a mobile oven

A real true craftsman and ex-welder tradesman from Knoxville, TN. USA is into building a mobile oven on a trailer. His project thoughts and plans so far are in this article. First, from reused and recycled materials, he will build a heavy duty tandem axle trailer with brakes on wheels. Then the oven will be placed on top of the trailer to finish the portable oven on wheels.

Use of Angle Iron

I told you I would sent pictures of my use of angle iron instead of building the wooden support as shown in your pictures. I used 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 quarter thick angle iron with 2 1/4 thick concrete base. This is angle iron I had from another project. I will cut reinforcement wire and fill with concrete. It should be able to hold up the world (Ha!) After quite a bit of searching in a hardware and tools store I was able to find a tape measure that had inches and cm measuring units also.

Brick oven built by Lady. Christine.

All the brickwork on the whole project was done and finished by a woman, lady, Christine. The whole structure was also scaled down to a smaller size version. 99 percent of this whole and wonderful project was completed by female. And, Why Not?! …

Project held up by Colorado winter

Nicely built brick oven, but the project was held up for a bit by the winter weather in Colorado. Now it’s done and the cooking goes on as it should be going on.

Karl gave the oven a Mexican look

Karl was lucky for he got all firebricks for this project for free. The bricks were sourced from an old farm. The whole project cost-ed him only 500 bucks, material was reused! Tiles in decoration and the figurine give the oven a nice Spanish or Mexican character look.

Door made out of maple wood – accurate fit

The wooden door for this MTo oven design fits in the space accurately and perfectly closes off the oven inside chamber. The door was made from maple wood. The oven fits the garden really nicely, it is a very practical garden structure for all culinary arts, gourmets. We cook in the oven everything. It has been built by Christopher in Cape Coral in Florida.
