hi,
thanks for the reply rado and paul.

question about the perlite. this stuff is used to insulate the brick dome. is it because it makes a good insulator and that it can contract and expand with the heat?

ive seen some brickovens online and some seem to just add concrete on top of the brick dome with wire mesh and fill the cavity with sand. if concrete expands when its heated, then this method would definitly crack right?
