Removed template one hour after each arch is done, whole top can be finished in a day. Yes finer sand is used to make mortar, I use 'loam sand' used by brickies it has mud in it already (1/8m³ for the whole oven costs 5.50 bucks - that includes mortar for outer building brick walls) the 'bar sand' used in US could be the same. r
