I see references to both, refractory mortor and refractory cement. Which is better to use in between the bricks in the dome? How much is needed? I assume the fireclay:sand mix below the firebricks is used for leveling the bricks? I have a 10" wet saw here, I assume to would be to my advantage to cut and dry fit as many fire bricks as possible for a longer life oven?
