I'm planning a masonry stove with a pizza oven on top of it. I've seen references to a pizza oven (black) that can be fired independently of the masonry stove (which normally get built with a white oven heated by the masonry stove.
Does one use a damper to switch from one type to another?
Someone suggested using a removeable firebrick in the pizza oven on a side closest to the flue, but didn't specify the height.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
