Dome entry to dome percentage

Hi fellow oven builders. I am up to make the form work for the dome entry on the Masterly Tail and noticed on the photos that the dome entry seems to be about 11 inches. With the dome height of 16 inches that gives a 70% dome to entry percentage.
Should I be doing a 10 inch dome entry to provide a 63% as the web site mentions to be optimum? This would be 8" flat bricks on each side and then a very shallow arch? I would appreciate some guidance.
