Of course. I don't know what I was thinking. We want the extra thermal mass inside the insulation, not outside it.
I will soon be sending you come pictures of how I am designing my oven opening and chimney. I wanted to get your opinion on whether the chimney draw will be sufficient, so that the smoke does not billow out the front.
