Hi Alan,
no igloo shapes for sometimes now really. In my case, every time people weight these two floor shapes the rectangle is being chosen, more interest is there worthy to contemplate. It's mainly the top of the igloo dome and places around the entry requiring heaps firebricks cutting, rather more precise if one wants to get it right while mortar goes everywhere. Yep, less mortar in dome for better quality. (preparing all bricks for a home sized oven, to half them all also the brick chisel with hammer halves each brick on 2 hits.)

In favour of wood fired oven culinary practice - more space for both cooking and fire is on the rectangular/square dome floor. But I can still make round one for you if you wish.

Good vibes,
Rado
PS I hope you'll email us your oven pictures soon, oven & meal photo competition ends this December.
